Slovakia Today, English Language Current Affairs Programme from Slovak Radio

This week we continue our centenary celebrations with another instalment of our series exploring the history and legacy of Slovak radio. We also bring you the latest edition of Listeners’ Tribune, featuring the views and voices of our audience. In our musical chapter, we look back 45 years to Bolo nás jedenásť (There Were Eleven of Us), the iconic 1981 album by Milan Lasica, Július Satinský and Jaro Filip. Blending humour, theatre, jazz, rock and folk influences, the album became a landmark in Slovak music.
